Sensei Graham Ravey 8eme Dan, Chef Instructeur du TOGKA
Né à Chesterfield, Angleterre en 1953 a commencé le Karate a l’âge de 14 ans. Graham a débuté au club de Wado Ryu mais c’est en 1971 qu’il va commencer son long voyage dans le Goju Ryu, qui continue encore aujourd’hui.
A l’âge de 20 ans il part au Japon ou il deviendra élève de Sensei Morio Higaonna au “Yoyogi Dojo”.
Il y restera de longues années revenant régulièrement en Angleterre pour continuer son enseignement du Goju Ryu dans les differents clubs installés dans la région du Yorkshire et Derbyshire.
En 1987 il part en Australie ou en 1989 il crée le TOGKA.

Sensei Gavin Hall 5eme Dan, TOGKA France

Né à Sheffield, Angleterre en 1962 a commencé les arts martiaux en 1978 et le Karaté en 1979.
Sa première rencontre avec Sensei Ravey remonte à 1980.
Promu Shodan en 1986 Gavin a continué son entrainement et enseignement du Goju-Ryu en Angleterre jusqu’en 1990 date ou il est parti vivre en France dans la région d’Aquitaine.
Sa progression c’est faite avec la Fédération Française et le TOGKA.
Un séjour de trois ans au Sénégal a permis d’initier le Goju Ryu et de créer deux clubs dans la région du Sine Saloum.
Gavin a un Diplôme d’Instructeur Fédéral et de Moniteur National de Secourisme.
History of the TOGKA
In 1989 after Sensei Ravey's departure from the IOGKF, he established the Traditional Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate-do Association (TOGKA) with a purpose to preserve the pure form of traditional Goju Ryu without politics.
Sensei Ravey became Chief Instructor of the newly formed association along with,
Rob Williams, a friend and student who had trained with Sensei Ravey for about 5 years, who became the TOGKA treasurer,
Terry Lyon, in Perth Australia became the first TOGKA 3rd Dan,
Michael Leham, a BJC Zen Do Kai black belt from the Gold Coast, Australia also joined the TOGKA, and
Don Weir, who had spent several years training in Japan at Yoyogi Dojo with Sensei Ravey.
Sensei Gavin Hall (formally from Sheffield, England) became the representative of France.

Gavin was born in Sheffield 1962, and started in martial arts in 1978 with a little Judo and Jujitsu. He started his karate training in 1979 in Goju-Ryu at Greystones Karate club also training occasionally with the Sheffield Wado- Ryu club. His first meeting with Sensei Ravey was in 1980 when Sensei was on a visit from Japan.
After seven years of regular training with Sensei Legdon in Sheffield and Sensei Ken Allen at the Chesterfield dojo he was graded to Shodan by Sensei Ravey in 1986 and has been with Sensei Ravey and TOGKA ever since.
He was Karate Instructor at Sheffield Poly from 1986–1990 and continued training regularly around the north of England and occasionally with Sensei James Rousseau, Sensei George Andrews (IOGKF) and occasional courses with Sensei Morio Higaonna.
Settling in France in 1990 he opened two clubs in the Aquitaine region where he has taught and trained regularly for more than 25 years continuing his training and teaching with the French Karate association and TOGKA.
After three years in Senegal on the West coast of Africa where two TOGKA clubs were established Gavin returned France.
